Dear Primos and Friends:
September always fills me with the excitement of a new school year. Last
year, I was part of the little parade that walked my oldest
great-grandson to school for his first day of kindergarten, the same
elementary school that two of my grandsons attended. This year, another
great-grandson will be starting kindergarten at the same school. Time
is certainly passing . . . quickly, quietly.
Dennis Brimhall, CEO of FamilySearch International, stated: "Today
family history research and telling, sharing, and preserving family
memories through stories, photos, and technology are engaging a growing
number of individuals of all ages like never before," Youth want to
discover themselves and their family's history in fun, exciting ways,
and adults want to strengthen family connections and leave enduring
legacies." Do check out their new updated and free
https://familysearch.org/.
Studies show that knowing family history is healthy, "grounding" the
individual in a very positive way. I hope you are all finding means to
pass on your stories and experiences, and what you learned from them.
Just start . . write down one memory, which since you remember it, must
in some way be important to you.
Thank you to all those who have sent in stories and articles. You are
shaping Somos Primos by sharing.
God bless, Mimi
