[Mexico-Occidente]906 Seminar explores future of FamilySearch family tree

RIVERTON, Utah — A free seminar at the Riverton FamilySearch Library on Saturday, Oct. 16, will offer attendees a glimpse into the future of family history. The three-hour seminar runs from 9 a.m. to noon and includes eight classes and a keynote speaker.

The keynote speaker, Ron Tanner, will address the topic "The Future of New FamilySearch" (FamilySearch's web-based family tree application). As a FamilySearch product manager, Tanner assists in the research and design of New FamilySearch and companion products. Currently, his assignments include overall product delivery for new.familysearch.org; rollout to Asia; and future product direction for FamilySearch's online family tree feature.

Following the keynote presentation, there will be two blocks of four classes each that will cover both research and technology.

No registration is required for this free seminar.

Seminars will be held on the third Saturday of each month. The Riverton FamilySearch Library is located in the LDS Riverton Office Building at 3740 Market Center Drive. The facility is near the intersection of Bangerter Highway and 13400 South.

"Haz tu Arbol Genealogico...El Arbol mas Hermoso de la Creacion"

Por medio de la historia familiar descubrimos el árbol más hermoso de la creación: nuestro árbol genealógico. Sus numerosas raíces se remontan a la historia y sus ramas se extienden a través de la eternidad. La historia familiar es la expresión extensiva del amor eterno; nace de la abnegación y provee la oportunidad de asegurarse para siempre una unidad familiar".
